Bruce D. Wardinski

Founding Chairman of the Board

Bruce D. Wardinski is the Founding Chairman of the Board of Barceló Crestline Corporation and Crestline Hotels & Resorts. Prior to the acquisition of Barceló Crestline by Barceló Corporación Empresarial of Palma de Mallorca, Spain ("Barceló"), Mr. Wardinski was Chairman, President & CEO of Crestline Capital Corporation; Senior Vice President and Treasurer for Host Marriott Corporation; and held various positions at Marriott Corporation.

In addition, Mr. Wardinski is the Chairman, President and CEO of Playa Hotels & Resorts, a privately-owned Spanish corporation which owns and develops high-end all-inclusive beach resorts in Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America.

Mr. Wardinski was previously Chairman of the Board of Highland Hospitality Corporation. Highland Hospitality Corporation was a self-advised real estate investment trust ("REIT") that was incorporated in Maryland in July 2003 to own upscale full-service, premium limited-service, and extended stay properties located in major convention, business, resort and airport markets in the United States until its sale in July 2007.

He graduated with honors from the University of Virginia with a B.S. degree in Commerce and earned an MBA degree in Finance from the Wharton School of Business. Prior to joining Marriott, he worked for Price Waterhouse in Washington D.C. and Goodyear International in Caracas, Venezuela.

Mr. Wardinski served for seven years on the Board of ServiceSource Inc. a not-for-profit advocacy group representing people with disabilities, and is currently the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the ServiceSource Foundation. As a result of various business investments, Mr. Wardinski serves on the Board of Directors of companies located in Spain, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

James Carroll

President & Chief Executive Officer

James Carroll is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Barceló Crestline Corporation. Mr. Carroll joined Barceló Crestline Corporation in 2004 from Dell, Inc., where he held several operations and financial management positions. In his initial role at Barceló Crestline, Mr. Carroll served as SVP & Treasurer. In 2006, he was promoted to Chief Financial Officer, and in 2009, was promoted to Chief Operating Officer of Crestline Hotels & Resorts.  In 2010, he assumed the position of President and CEO of both Barceló Crestline Corporation, as well as Crestline Hotels & Resorts.

As President and CEO, Mr. Carroll has responsibility for the day-to-day management of both companies and all management and operations of the Company's portfolio of managed and owned properties throughout the U.S.

Mr. Carroll holds a Master in Business Administration degree from the Harvard Business School. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, having graduated with Merit with a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering. Previously, he served as a Naval Aviator and Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy.

Pierre Donahue

Senior Vice President and General Counsel

As Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Barcelo Crestline, Mr. Donahue is responsible for all legal issues arising with respect to hotel operations, hotel development, corporate governance, and asset management for Barcelo Crestline, and Crestline Hotels & Resorts (Barcelo Crestline's wholly owned subsidiary). 

Mr. Donahue joined Barcelo Crestline from Marriott International where he enjoyed a 10 year career in which he rose from Corporate Counsel to Vice President and Assistant General Counsel and became the leader of the Law Department's North American Lodging Operations group, supervising six attorneys and nine paralegals.  Prior to his tenure with Marriott International, Mr. Donahue was with the law firm Hogan & Hartson where he first served in the antitrust department and then as a litigation attorney.

Mr. Donahue received his law degree from UCLA in 1988 with the Order of the Coif in approximately the top three percent of his class. He received his undergraduate degree fro Boston College magna cum laude in 1984. Mr. Donahue is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, the United State Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the American Hotel & Lodging Association's General Counsels Committee, and the Academy of Hospitality Industry Attorneys.
